Good morning, I hope you all had a great weekend, despite some of the sad news we have all received this weekend. Please keep all of the students, family, and everyone involved in your thoughts at SEHS as they mourn the loss of another student.
This week is all about the Quarter 3 Checkpoint. We will spend Monday and Tuesday reviewing different material from units 1, 2, and 3. Wednesday we will take the checkpoint test, and Thursday and Friday will be early introductions into Quarter 4 units!

I hope you all had a wonderful weekend! This week is going to be a busy week. We will start off the week on Monday by studying the differences between local, state and federal governments. On Tuesday, we will complete an activity along with a worksheet called iCharge. We will also begin another worksheet. Wednesday, we will finish all previous work and spend the rest of the day studying with blooket. Thursday, it's test day, and Friday we will begin the new unit!
I hope you all had a great weekend! This week, we will continue reviewing the three branches of government. These are the legislative, executive, and judicial branches. We will also be studying how the Alabama legislation is setup, and a review of current officeholders at the state and federal level. Please note, we will have a test next Tuesday.
Good morning! I hope you all had a great weekend full of fun. Starting on Monday, we will begin reviewing the legislative branch in depth. We will then do a worksheet and play a game in class. Tuesday, students will learn about executive veto powers. Wednesday and Thursday will be filled with learning about the judicial branch, and Friday we will begin reviewing for the test next week.
Last week, we focused on the beginning of Unit 2 as well as allowing some time to makeup work. Now that we are beyond all of the makeup work, we will continue working on Unit 2 as planned. We will focus heavily on the government this week, and how each part influences the lives of citizens daily. We will discuss the three branches of government, state legislature, the different between local, state, and federal government, and how government is funded.
I hope you all had a great weekend. We will begin Unit 2 this week. Unit 2 starts off by focusing heavily on the different types of governments. Test grades from Unit 1 across the board, so I am fully expecting all of you to come into class with a different mindset from here on out. You need to be doing the work I assign throughout the week, even if it is a simple worksheet. Not only do you receive zeroes for not completing the daily assignments; you also score bad on your test(s) because you did not do the work before to learn.
I hope you all had a great weekend. We will be reviewing for our test on Monday. Tuesday, we will take our first test for Civics. Wednesday, as I am sure you know, is a learning day for students. You will not come to school. Thursday and Friday, we will focus on beginning the next new unit.
Happy New Year! We have began talking about and covering Civics. This week, we will be looking at the different branches of government and the Declaration of Independence. We will do a scavenger hunt activity on the 17th, and the week will be spent studying the Declaration of Independence along with the government branches.
